February 24, 2019, early in the morning, we lost the incredible Elda Corbett (nee De Poli).

Elda lived an extraordinary life with her partner and husband, Terry Corbett, (G.O.T.). Their home was the site of so many dinners and gatherings and also the launch point of their many travels.

She was an active part of their Indiana Dr. neighbourhood. Seen not only on her long walks but also delivering bread from not one, but two, bread machines that she kept running daily.

Absolutely devoted to her family, “Aunt Elda” was always a source of advice, information and steady support. For herself, she kept to a carefully controlled schedule, but was always generous to others with her time and wealth of life experiences.

Aunt Elda was possibly the most organized person who has ever lived. She was stylish, well travelled, a great dancer; a woman who loved a cheeky joke and to be the first to know any little happening.

Her life ended, just as it had been spent, surrounded by the love and support of her nephews and nieces. Aunt El is reunited with those who went before her, and missed every day.
