It seems like it was just yesterday that we said goodbye, not the 12 years it has been. We could see that you were getting tired of the fight, your wings were ready but our hearts were not. Time has not made the hurt any less or our hearts feel whole again, but knowing you're free of pain makes us happy.
You were not the type to hug or say I love you, but your love was never questioned, cause that was just the way you were. You were loud and grumpy at times but inside you were a teddy bear.
The grandkids you were so proud of, are all grown up and happily married. I think you would be pleased with their choices. I know you would of loved the the two newest additions to your family, they have quite the personalities already.
Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grampa, we will love and miss you today, tomorrow and always.
