It’s safe to say that almost everyone could use a bit of a pick-me-up right now. For those that are feeling down about the recent restrictions and are starting to lose sight of the positives, Jade Wellness Studio may have the perfect solution. The yoga studio is hosting a virtual “girl’s night out” at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Jan 30.

Judith from Jade Wellness will help you learn simple ways to uplift your spirit at the 'Pick-Me-Up' event.

Participants can use this as an opportunity to dress up for a virtual night out with friends. Uplifting experiences and topics will be discussed, and Judith will give you exercises to inspire you so you can shift your energy into a "feel good” mode.

“Recently we’ve all been feeling a little down even though it’s the new year. Because of all the changes, we felt like we needed to do something to lift our spirits and see beyond what’s going on right now. That’s the intention behind the event,” said studio director Shirling Kao, who will also be participating.

“Judith will lead us through some really simple and practical activities to shift our perspective. Sometimes it doesn’t take much to get unstuck and snap out of what you’re currently feeling. I look forward to connecting with all of the participants and enjoying the virtual party,” Kao said.

Cost for the event will be $10+ HST and participants are asked to sign up at least one hour in advance to receive Zoom meeting information via email. Registrants of this event are entitled to a 10 per cent discount for Judith's workshop: "Lift Your Spirit - Open to ALL Possibilities", on Sunday, Feb. 7.

With stay-at-home orders still in effect and Saultites urged to continue following COVID-19 guidelines, many of us are staying inside and online now more than ever.

So each week, SooToday will share some of the virtual events taking place to help you make the most of these unprecedented times, and have fun safely at home.
