SooToday meteorologist Jerry Shields says rain that moved in last night will continue all day today.

The combination of intensity and the duration of this event could bring extreme amounts of rainfall by Sunday morning. 40-60mm is likely, but some isolated locations could receive up to 100mm before it's over.

Temperatures will be in the high teens with southerly winds.
