About Us

St. Vincent Place is a creation of St. Vincent de Paul for the community of Sault Ste. Marie in response to a call for an entity to provide shelter for men over 18 years of age in need of emergency shelter.

We are a non-profit organization, dedicated to assisting members of the community with basic needs and skill development.

The main building is located at 222 Albert Street East, close to the city bus terminal and just minutes away from many helpful agencies.

Mission 

Embracing the way of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul we serve the homeless and poor of our community by actions that provide them with shelter, clothing, food, household essentials and compassionate attention through a dedicated group of volunteers and staff.

Vision 

Vincent Place, an outreach, agency of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, will be well known and respected in the community for its operation of a men’s shelter, food bank, soup kitchen and thrift store. Characterized by:
