It will be hard to use the excuse --- I didn't know about it.

The province used its emergency alert system on Thursday morning, to remind everyone that the stay-at-home order is now effect.

"A stay-at-home order is in effect. Only leave home for essential purposes such as food, health care, exercise or work. It is the law. Stay home, stay safe, save lives." the alert read.

On Wednesday, Premier Ford's office tried to clear up some questions regarding the order.

The order will remain in place for at least 28 days.
