The Ontario Hockey League announced today the start of the 2020-21 season will again be delayed due to COVID19.

In a press release issued today, the league stated the decision to delay the season follows Premier Doug Ford's announcement of a province-wide shutdown which starts Dec. 26, and will last for 14 days in Northern Ontario and 28 days in Southern Ontario.

Training camps had been scheduled to start in mid-January, and games were scheduled for Feb. 4, 2021.

The league says it will continue to consult and work closely with the government and health authorities to determine potential start dates in the new year.
