COVID-19: The latest numbers from Algoma Public Health and the province

Algoma Public Health reports a total of 195 people that have been tested for COVID-19 in the Algoma District. 

According to numbers released Wednesday morning by the public health agency, 84 of those tests came back negative. Another 110 COVID-19 tests are pending. One person so far has tested positive for the virus.   

According to the latest numbers from the province, a total of 35,635 have been tested in Ontario, with 671 positive test results and 24,458 negative test results. A total of eight cases have been resolved, with another 10,489 currently under investigation.

Nine people have died in Ontario as a result of COVID-19.
