The City of Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma Workforce Investment Corporation (AWIC) have designed a monthly survey to better understand the impact of COVID-19 on local businesses and organizations during and beyond the COVID-19 crisis.

The feedback will be used to communicate the needs of the community directly to municipal, provincial and federal governments. It will also assist with providing post-crisis recovery.

“The results of April’s survey provided valuable information on the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis in the local area on businesses, livelihoods and jobs,” says Tom Vair, Deputy CAO, Community Development and Enterprise Services. “It’s important to continue to gather updated information on the impacts to employers, local uptake on COVID-19 relief programs and the readiness of employers to re-open. The feedback is one of several methods we are using to inform post-crisis recovery.”

The May survey will be available until June 1, 2020 and can be accessed at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SSM_COVID_MAY

Respondents are asked to complete the survey only once and answer questions as accurately and completely as possible. The survey should take about five minutes to complete. If you require assistance to complete the survey or have any questions, please contact AWIC at [email protected].
