Storytelling in Bone and Stone: New Masterpieces by Abraham Anghik Ruben

Abraham Anghik Ruben: Arctic Journeys / Ancient Memories is currently on display in the Art Gallery of Algoma's Main Gallery.

This exhibition, which runs until September 8th, 2013, allows visitors to experience the narratives and myths of two Northern Cultures, the Viking Norse and the Inuit, as told through masterfully carved sculptures.



Organized by the Arctic Studies Center, National Museum of Natural History and the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution, in association with the Kipling Gallery, this exhibition brings stories of the ancient Polar Regions to Sault Ste. Marie and Northern Ontario. READ ON (video)
