SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG), brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Kittens, kittens

(TAAG)

TAAG has four sweet bigger cozy kittens who are now around 11 weeks of age. There are three females and one male. One female is smokey grey almost black. The rest are black and white and very similar in appearance.

This group has been in a loving foster home since the end of March and they are now ready for new homes.

TAAG is currently conducting virtual adoptions as much as possible. You can fill out a preadoption form and we are also able to Skype with adoption information. This method can be restrictive as we are limited with home-checking because of the Covid 19 health crisis, therefore it will be a much slower process.

TAAG is currently unable to take in the usual number of rescued cats we are able to help. We lack a physical facility and our volunteer base is limited. We are unable to assist in having cats spayed or neutered as the veterinarians are taking emergency cases only.

One very unfortunate result of the current human viral pandemic will be the inevitable impact on the innocent lives of cats and dogs, the dumping of pets, and the explosion of unwanted kittens and homeless cats in the near future.

TAAG is grateful for the generous community support in the past few weeks assisting us in our efforts, as we have a never-ending need for cat food, supplies such as litter, and financial help to deal with inevitable upcoming emergencies.

As a non-profit animal rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of those who wish to be stewards of abandoned animals who cannot care for themselves or to help those pets who have families in need of emergency vet care. We are currently unable to hold fundraisers due to government Covid restrictions. If you would like to help, please click here.
