Adopt Me: Poor Charlie has been waiting a long time for her new home (adopted)

Due to some anxiety, she would benefit from a home that has someone around often, and one with no other pets

SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG), brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Charlie

(Humane Society)

Charlie is a two-year-old spayed female shepherd mix who came to the shelter to find a new home back in November, 2019.

This beautiful shepherd underwent surgical treatment of bi lateral medial patellar luxation on both knees to fix her condition - floating knee caps. After months of recovery from surgeries on both knees, this playful girl is ready to find her new forever home.

Charlie is looking for a family who can regulate her exercise to avoid excessive play, but at the same time to keep active enough to avoid being overweight; to keep her healthy and from developing any complications.

Due to some anxiety, Charlie may benefit from a home that has someone around most of the time until she settles in. This canine would do best as an only pet, and may be good with older children.

**Vet references required**
