Buddha

(Humane Society)

Buddha is a happy-go-lucky 1.5-year-old Shar-Pei mix who is looking for a special home!

Buddha was born with a birth defect leaving her with only two fully functioning legs but that doesn't stop her from getting around and living day-to-day to the fullest.

She was abandoned at the shelter several months ago and during that time we have had her assessed and ordered her a custom wheelchair.  Since her chair finally arrived, the staff has been helping her become accustomed to her new wheels and she is now ready to find herself a forever home!

Buddha is looking for a 1 story home with space to navigate safely when in her wheelchair. A large yard where she can bounce around in.

Her handicap makes her feel vulnerable, so she is quick to act out towards other animals, and would do best as an only pet. Although Buddha has some training in her new wheels her new family will need to continue training and supervising her wheelchair time.

We are currently taking adoption applications that will require a reference from your veterinarian.

Please contact the Humane Society at (705) 949-3573 for more information about adopting Buddha.
