Community Living Algoma to assist with Annual Food Drive in Elliot Lake

Community Living Algoma is very excited about lending a helping hand to the citizens of Elliot Lake.  On Saturday December 1, 2012, the management team at Community Living Algoma, will be volunteering in Elliot Lake to assist with the Annual Food Drive taking place at Rio Den.

Community Living Algoma supports people with an intellectual disability in Elliot Lake, and given the hardship and tragedy the community has experienced, the management team at Community Living Algoma felt that it was time to step up and lend some support to a community in need.

This is a first-time volunteering opportunity we are participating in and could see something like this becoming an annual event for our management team to participate in.

Long-time Board member and resident of Elliot Lake, Gary Wills said: “I was very excited to hear that our management team was searching for a volunteer opportunity in Elliot Lake this year.  I am truly touched and honoured by this awesome gesture on the part of our management team.”
