AlgomaTrad 50/50 Draw

AlgomaTrad announces a 50/50 cash draw in support of the creation of the AlgomaTrad Centre on St. Joseph Island.

AlgomaTrad is a charitable arts organization dedicated to enriching lives and building joyful community through the celebration and sharing of traditional music, dance, and heritage arts. Proceeds from the 50/50 draw will go towards developing the AlgomaTrad Centre for year-round classes, performances, community dances, concerts, festivals, and workshops. The AlgomaTrad Centre infrastructure project is well underway thanks to last year’s successful Fundrazr campaign which raised $350K that is helping to leverage government funding and charitable foundation grants. Information about recent and current building projects at the Centre are available at the organization website .

When completed, the AlgomaTrad Centre will be a welcoming community space with programming and events for people of diverse ages, cultures, abilities, and interests. Since 2004, the annual AlgomaTrad Family Camp has been bringing people to St. Joseph Island from across Canada, the US, and beyond, and the AlgomaTrad Centre is building on that experience.

Tickets can be purchased online at, through the AlgomaTrad website, or at the AlgomaTrad Community Dance occurring Friday, September 23 at the AlgomaTrad Centre. Ticket packages are $10 for 10 tickets, $20 for 60 tickets, $40 for 200 tickets, or —the best deal — $75 for 750 tickets. Ticket buyers must be 18 years of age or older and in the province of Ontario to play. The winning ticket will be drawn on October 10, 2022.
The AlgomaTrad 50/50 Draw makes everyone a winner by helping to build the AlgomaTrad Centre and bringing opportunity and cultural enrichment to Northern Ontario.

AlgomaTrad’s Artistic Directors, Julie Schryer and Pat O’Gorman, with the Board of Directors, wish to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helps support the organization in its efforts!
