The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) and their Acorn Information Solutions (AIS) department is looking to hire an Account Executive to manage current client relations and continue to grow the client base.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Acorn Information Solutions (formerly known as the Community Geomatics Centre) is dedicated to promoting and establishing the means to share data, knowledge and tools among organizations to create healthier, safer and more prosperous communities.

AIS is seeking an Account Executive to manage the development and growth of their custom solutions client base.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively prospect and develop new business opportunities
  • Qualify and manage new sales leads through the full sales cycle
  • Identify opportunities that would benefit from our technology suite using a consultative sales approach
  • Responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Work closely with AIS staff in gathering requirements and proposing high value solutions for clients
  • Proactively maintain relationships with your accounts and identify future opportunities
  • Prospecting client base
  • Gain a deep understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of potential solutions, and effectively illustrate the value of our high-quality/market- leading solutions to prospects
  • Recognize high value sales opportunities
  • Effectively gather intelligence and trends on markets, prospects, and the competition using various resources
  • Successful candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter, well organized, hungry for knowledge, able to balance multiple priorities and the ability to work with people

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 2-5+ years of B2B software sales and account management experience
  • Minimum 3-year degree or diploma in Information Technology or relevant related technical experience
  • Creative thinker when it comes to proposals and negotiation
  • Understanding of SAAS concepts
  • Technical savvy and an entrepreneurial drive
  • Strong CRM experience
  • Ability to communicate at a high level with technical executives and developers
  • Knowledge in CRM systems and excellent follow up communication is needed
  • Solid understanding of IT systems, software or processes
