Established firm for over 45 years located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, seeking to hire two legal assistants with a view towards a long-term employment relationship. Salary will be determined based on experience and in consultation with the successful candidate.
1. LEGAL ASSISTANT – POSITION AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY - FULL TIME
REQUIRED: legal assistant in primary areas of real estate, corporate, commercial, estates and administrative functions
Qualifications and Experience
• Successful graduate of a law clerk program in Ontario (or equivalent skill set)
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a corporate or law firm environment
• Proven proficiency in Unity, Teraview, PC Law, Title Insurance applications, Fast Company, and Microsoft Office
• Dedicated to providing quality service to clients
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Thorough, with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Self-starter, works independently & works well as part of a team
• Proven initiative, problem solving and resourcefulness
• Able to multi-task calmly and to work in a fast-paced work environment
2. LEGAL ASSISTANT – AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY - FULL TIME, PART TIME OR CONTRACT POSITION
REQUIRED: legal assistant experienced in real estate with a primary role of reporting completed real estate transactions
Qualifications and Experience
• Successful graduate of a law clerk program in Ontario (or equivalent skill set)
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role in a law firm environment, specifically real estate and/or legal accounting software
• Proven proficiency in Unity, Teraview, PC Law and Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Thorough, with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Works well independently
• Proven initiative, problem solving and resourcefulness
