The Opportunity: The incumbent is responsible to ensure the streamlined operation of the Information Technology Support Services (Service Desk and Solutions Specialists) in alignment with the objectives of the college. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT service-related activities of the organization, as well as provide supervision of IT support staff administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of all IT support service areas under their direction. This person will define and implement best practice policies, define continual service improvements, service level agreements, procedures, and ensure customer service objectives are being met.

The Associate Director will be responsible for the maintenance of our ITSM tools and its integrations. They will act as an escalation point and will use interpersonal skills to resolve any complaints received from staff or students regarding IT Support Services.

The incumbent reviews complimentary and disruptive technology solutions that supports the College’s vision and mission.  The incumbent must ensure that the College’s technology is stable, responsive and meets the functional requirements of faculty, staff and students.  The incumbent will ensure that academic requirements are captured and being met as part of this role and coordinate discussions with the various departments utilizing our services.

Actively participates as a member on Information Technology Services management team. Strong project management and financial skills are required as the incumbent must budget and execute on annual refresh/renewal projects and implement new technologies that enhance the end user's experience on time and on budget.

What you need to be successful:
A 4-year university degree, diploma or equivalent, in a computer-related area in current I.T., Project Management or Information Management science.
ITIL certification required.
PMP, Six Sigma, Agile, or related certifications considered an asset.
Minimum 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with at least 5-7 years’ experience in a management role.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment with the ability to engage and motivate staff.
Experience with IT security planning and implementation considered an asset.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with a variety of internal/external contacts at all levels.
Strong organizational skills, time management and project planning and management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Experience managing a departmental budget.
IT Service management experience.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.

This is a full-time administrative position. Salary range is a Payband 12 $93,637 to $124,850 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
