The Opportunity: The Director, Student Services & Success is responsible for the leadership, ongoing development, integration and management of student services including Counselling, Accessibility Services, and Student Success including the liaison with the Sault College Student Union. A function of the position is to manage the College's Student Code of Conduct policy and procedure. The Director also has responsibility for the college's Mental Health Hub and Student Success Team.
What you need to be successful:
A Master’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Social Work, Education, Psychology, or related field.
A Bachelor’s degree in education is an asset.
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in progressive leadership and management roles in postsecondary education.
Experience as an educator in a secondary or postsecondary environment.
Excellent team building, interpersonal, communications, decision-making, time-management and planning skills.
Excellent human resource management skills along with conflict resolution and facilitation experience.
Extensive experience managing budgets.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with a variety of internal/external contacts at all levels.
Strong commitment to student support and success.
Records management experience.
Knowledge of the Ontario College system.
Working knowledge of a variety of software, including MS Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams.
This is a full-time administrative position. Salary range is a Payband 13 and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
