Reporting to the Supervisor of Capital Planning and Facility Renewal this position assists in carrying out the responsibilities related to Capital Project planning, monitoring and reporting.
Summary of Duties
Assists in planning, developing, coordinating and supervising facility renewal and capital projects within the Boards facilities.
Performs facility reviews and condition assessments.
Maintains and updates various internal/Ministry databases (VFA, SFIS, HWIN, etc.) and all historical building information.
Assists in the preparation/submission and monitoring of capital budgets, capital project estimating and reconciliation.
Implements and incorporates health and safety policies and procedures within areas of responsibility.
Assists with managing energy initiatives.
Liaises with Plant Supervisors, Government Agencies/Ministries, Architects, Engineers and Senior Board staff.
Assists in administering the Board’s Safe Drinking Water, Hazardous Waste Program and Recycling Program.
Other duties as assigned.
The successful applicant will have achieved at a minimum, a Post-Secondary Diploma in a related field (Architectural, Mechanical or Civil) or equivalent.
Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum 4 years previous project management, consultant or construction experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with a solid background in database management, mainframe, and PC Applications, Advanced training in AutoCAD, MS Word and Excel.
Valid drivers license is required.
