We are currently seeking an experienced Journeyman Millwright for our Tenaris Prudential Steel Mill.

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, ON


  • Safe and effective preventative planning and maintenance of hydraulic and mechanical equipment related to steel manufacturing.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment deficiencies
  • Communicate with site management to coordinate maintenance priorities
  • Maintain maintenance records
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Take part in all training requirements.
  • Management of maintenance systems
  • Establishing new and maintaining/ continually improving existing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to work effectively in a self-managing team environment
  • Able to respond to callouts and requirements for extra hours when required.


  • High school diploma or GED is a minimum requirement
  • Valid Alberta or Inter-provincial Millwright certification with 3+ years post Journeyman experience.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and a safe driving record


  • Able to work independently and as part of a professional maintenance team
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to safe operations and continuous improvement
  • Experience using computerized diagnostics tools
  • Standard first aid an asset
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Focused attention to detail.
