We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Building Project Specialist to conduct space planning project activities from low to high complexity and see all projects through to execution and hand-off.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME

Reporting to the Senior Manager Planning, you will be empowered to:

• Act as a subject matter expert regarding space planning projects and the creation of space within the Corporate Portfolio, including all asset management, project management, and execution of all moves/adds/changes, along with appropriate coordination of external consultants/engineers and contractors to ensure compliance with OLG and regulatory standards
• Coordinate, monitor and oversee construction/renovation projects and manage the communication of any potential client business disruption to ensure a high-level of client satisfaction
• Provide input into space planning and perform drawing and documentation reviews of consultant design development, tender/permit and construction drawings, shop drawings, of varying complexity and monitor the ongoing change in documents during construction/renovation projects in order to ensure that builds are executed in a manner that align with OLG’s business plans
• Monitor and report on work environment in compliance with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions
• Manage and maintain all vendor contracts, ensuring contractors are performing their work in a safe manner fulfilling contractual obligations.
• Work with Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) to resolve facilities related issues or concerns raised by JHSC as a result of project activity, ensuring building standards and health & safety requirements are met
• At the end of projects, ensure all permits are closed out, all warranties and manuals are received and stored in soft copy on drives, and all ‘as-builts’ in CAD format are received and distributed to the appropriate parties to ensure accurate documentation is retained
• Following project implementation, ensure all close out documents are completed, tracked, and communicated where appropriate to Maintenance Lead ensuring effective continuity of maintenance activity.
• Ensure appropriate hand off to Maintenance Lead of all pertinent maintenance documents, and records
• Coordinate all logistics/communications regarding project, moves/adds/changes, and conduct/manage physical move of staff equipment and contents ensuring adequate business continuity
• Ensure contracts and maintenance and repair costs are carried in the cost center
• Receive and action Service Requests for incoming staff at all corporate sites for execution of planned seating to ensure that employees are outfitted with necessary equipment
• Escort or coordinate required escort of all non-OLG vendors, consultants, and contractors and arrange all access and elevator booking to ensure activities occur without disruption

WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY

Work Experience:  3 years of experience in both commercial office and warehouse facility management and construction 

Education: University or College Degree/Diploma Facility Management or Construction Management | Knowledge of blueprint reading, service contracts and fixed asset management | Knowledge of construction safety and regulations | Knowledge of systems furniture

Critical Skills: Contractor/vendor management | Interpersonal skills | Analytical and problem-solving skills | Project management | Detail oriented | Ability to work independently with a bias to action, prioritize and manage all tasks and projects to successful completion | Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft suite, AutoCAD
