Public Works crews are busy keeping roadways as clear as possible, and will remain dispatched throughout the day.

During winter events, the maintenance of roadways is prioritized with highways and main roads done first and, in some cases, getting multiple passes.

Motorists are reminded to drive according to the conditions and to give snow plow operators room to clear routes safely and efficiently. Under By-law 77-200-5(14), parking of vehicles on city streets is not permitted between midnight and 6 a.m. during the winter months. However, during a winter event, residents are also asked to not park on city streets during the day, if possible. This will assist in the efficiency of snow removal. Sidewalks should not be blocked at any time in order to facilitate snow removal and allow for usage by pedestrians.

The City thanks residents for their cooperation in helping to keep our roadways and designated sidewalks clear and safe.

For more information, residents may contact Public Works at 705-759-5201, email [email protected] or check out Winter Operations.

Further updates will be posted to Facebook and Twitter, along with the City’s website.
