The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie Improves Environment with its 100 Anniversary Legacy Project

The City of Sault Ste Marie in partnership with the Rotary club will hold a tree planting ceremony.

The City of Sault Ste Marie in partnership with the Rotary club will hold a tree planting ceremony. In honour of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste Marie's 100th Anniversary, the club is participating in "The Seed is Planted" project as part of 1.2 million trees being planted worldwide, representing one tree for every Rotarian worldwide. Locally, the Rotary Club of Sault Ste Marie has donated 75 trees that are native to Ontario to be planted along the John Rowswell Hub Trail, Carmen's Way and Albert Street West.

What: Ceremonial Tree Planting Ceremony
Date: Thursday, November 8, 2018
Time: 2 p.m. Photos and interviews will commence following the tree planting
Location: North corner of Cathcart Street and Carmen's Way adjacent to the John Rowswell Hub Trail
Parking: Marconi Club parking lot

Everyone from the community is invited to attend. Special guests include Mayor Christian Provenzano, Rotarians and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation. This project is made possible through support from Rotary Club, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation as well as a partnership with the City of Sault Ste. Marie. We hope to see you there.
