The City’s Green Team will host a Water Walk on Wednesday, June 26. This 30-minute walk along the City’s boardwalk will focus on the importance of the St. Mary’s River and how we can preserve its beauty for years to come. Walking tours depart the Civic Centre at noon and 1 p.m.

“As part of the Green Team’s commitment to raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting green initiates, the Water Walk will provide an opportunity to educate and engage citizens on this valuable natural resource,” said Tayte Nowak, Summer Student in the Mayor’s office.

“Our goal with the walk, as well as other initiatives we have planned for the summer, is to generate a positive impact on our community.”

This is a free event and all are welcome to attend. The first 100 walkers will receive a metal straw and many additional prizes will be available to those that participate and register upon arrival at the Civic Centre.
