Alert Ready is part of a national service designed to deliver critical and potentially life-saving emergency alert messages to Canadians. Emergency alerts are distributed to help ensure that Ontarians have the critical information they need in emergencies to take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their families.

Would you be ready if you received an emergency alert today? Be prepared before a winter storm by ensuring that additional items have been added to your home Emergency Kit. Be alert to changing weather conditions and if a winter storm is issued, take appropriate action. Minimize travel, but if travel is necessary, ensure you have an emergency vehicle kit that includes food, water, a flashlight, extra clothing, blankets, sand/salt and a small shovel.
