Woman dead after Second Line hit-and-run: Police (updated)

Police still seeking vehicle involved

Police have advised that Second Line West is now open and traffic is flowing freely in all directions.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Original 8:15 a.m. story:

Police are on the scene of a fatal hit-and-run on Second Line West.

Police say around 6 a.m., officers responded to a call of a vehicle striking a pedestrian in the area of Second Line West and Brunswick Avenue.

Upon arrival, police say a woman was located with significant injuries. Shortly afterwards, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved in the collision did not remain at the scene, police say, and officers are attempting to locate it.

Traffic is blocked on Second Line West and is being diverted at Korah Road and Farwell Terrace while police conduct their investigation.
