Woman charged with forging a document

On March 11, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29-year-old Brianna Howard of Taskar Drive for uttering a forged document.

It is alleged that on Jan. 3, 2018 the accused attempted to cash a fraudulent cheque for over $2,700 made out to her name at a local bank. It was also found that the cheque had been stolen from a break and enter to a local business in Dec. of 2017.

Officers located the accused on March 11 and she was taken into custody. She has been charged with one count of possession of stolen property and one count of uttering a forged document. She will appear in court on April 23, 2018.
