Sault Police have arrested Adrianna Costello for impaired driving Sunday evening.

In a news release issued today, police say they responded to a call at 6:34 p.m. about a possible impaired driver in the 600 block of Trunk Road. After speaking with the accused, officers believed she was unable to operate a motor vehicle due to impairment by drugs, and was arrested.

The 29-year-old was given a drug recognition evaluation in which she “performed poorly”, the release states. Officers later found her to be in possession of two bags of substances which they believed were narcotics.

Costello is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 25 to face the following charges:

  • impaired driving - alcohol and drugs
  • two counts of possession of a controlled substance
  • driving while under suspension
