Woman accused of dragging boyfriend with his own car

The victim was able to get out of the way and the accused sped off

On Nov. 5, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old female in relation to a domestic violence incident. 

It is alleged that on Oct. 24, 2017 the accused took a vehicle belonging to her boyfriend without his consent. The victim located the accused operating the vehicle and attempted to retrieve his vehicle. 

The accused then (allegedly) punched the victim and put the vehicle in drive. The victim tried to stop the accused from leaving and she drove off, dragging him a short distance down the road. The accused then put the vehicle in reverse and attempted to strike the victim with the vehicle. The victim was able to get out of the way and the accused sped off.

Police were contacted and the accused was located on Nov. 5, 2017 and taken into custody. She has been charged with one count of assault, one count of take motor vehicle without consent, one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of breach of a peace bond. She was held for bail court.
