TRANSPORT TRUCK ROLLS INTO DITCH
City Police were called to the intersection of Second Line and Black Road this morning at 12:04 where a transport truck, eastbound on the Second Line and attempting to turn south on Black Road, lost control and went into the ditch.

The transport is a 2000 International, black in colour with a cargo trailer. The rig received severe damage. It took most of the night to clear the scene. The driver and sole occupant was 40-year-old Jeffrey Galea of Sudbury. He received minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was treated and released. No charges have been laid.

POLICE ASSAULTED
Patrol officers were called to a home on London Street last evening in regards to a disturbance. While the officers were talking to the complainant, a male appeared and attempted to dominate the discussion. He then tried to slam the door, striking one of the officers. Richard Mann, age 47, of London Street was arrested and charged with assaulting police and resisting
