FATAL ACCIDENT
A fatal accident occurred in the Sault at 1:00 a.m. today. A 58-year-old female was struck by an eastbound pick-up tuck on Douglas Street in the 400 block area. The driver of the pick-up was a 56-year-old male. The victim was transported to the General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Her identity is being withheld until next-of-kin are notified.

DRUG BUST
Shortly after midnight yesterday, officers from the joint forces drug unit arrested Paul Edwards, age 21, of 371 Wellington Street. After a brief foot chase on Boundary Road, police seized 80 grams of Cannabis Resin and $660 in cash. The estimated street value of the drugs is $2,000. Edwards was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime, and breach of an undertaking. He will appear in court on August 26.
