Sometime on August 23 unknown culprits broke into a residence in the 300 block of Lake Street. Entry was gained through an unlocked front door and a quantity of cash and jewelry was taken. On August 24 at 1:30 a.m.

Sometime on August 23 unknown culprits broke into a residence in the 300 block of Lake Street. Entry was gained through an unlocked front door and a quantity of cash and jewelry was taken.

On August 24 at 1:30 a.m. officers responded to an alarm call at a business on Towers Street. It was discovered that unknown culprits had broken into the business by prying open plywood covering a window. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

On August 23 officers arrested 44-year-old Amey Roach of Sussex Road. It is alleged that on August 16 the accused attended a convenience store on Trunk Road and when the clerk was distracted selected 6 lottery scratch tickets and concealed them in his pocket. The accused left the store failing to pay for the items. The accused has been charged with theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on September 26.
