Weapons call leads to charges for Sault man

On March 20, 2019, officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 34-year-old Justin McKay of Cathcart Street for breach of weapons prohibition order.

It’s alleged on March 20, 2019, the accused was walking in the central part of the city when a resident (allegedly) observed him with a weapon. Officers attended the area, found the accused, at which time he admitted to having a weapon in his possession.

He was taken into custody and charged with one count of breach of weapons prohibition, one count of breach of probation, one count of possession for dangerous purpose and one count of breach of undertaking.

He was held for bail court.
