One person has been charged after officers responded to a weapons call yesterday afternoon in the Manilla Terrace area.
At approximately 3 p.m., "officers began an investigation and developed grounds to believe the accused was in possession of a replica firearm," says a news release from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
As a result, 19-year-old Alex Megginson was arrested and charged with:
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Fail to comply with release order
Megginson was held in custody to await a bail hearing.
