VIDEO: Victim out more than $5K after wallet stolen

$650 cash is also missing

Police are hoping to determine the identification of a suspect after a wallet was lost and fraudulent bank transactions amounting to $5,000 were made.

A news release issued today by Crime Stoppers states that the transactions in question occurred between March 9 and March 11 of this year.

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an incident of fraud.

The police service received a complaint about several fraudulent transactions that occurred between March 9 and March 11, 2021. The victim does not know when or where the wallet was stolen but is missing $650 cash and approximately $5,000 in unauthorized transactions.
