A woman was charged for impaired driving in an incident that took place earlier this week, Sault Ste. Marie Police say.

Police say that on Monday around 8:44 p.m., they received a call of a woman stating her vehicle had been tampered with.

When they arrived, officers determined the vehicle had not been tampered with, however they became suspicious that the accused was impaired by drugs.

The accused was then given a Standardized Field Sobriety Test  and a Drug Recognition Evaluation, both of which the accused failed.

As a result, Lisa Muncey, 51, was arrested and charged with impaired driving – alcohol and drugs. She is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 20, 2020.
