A 22-year-old man faces impaired driving charges after police responded to a call of a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Airport Road.

Police say just after midnight on Friday, officers responded to the call and found a man running near the area the vehicle had gone into the ditch.

Upon speaking with the accused, officers learned he was driving the vehicle and he was going home as it was stuck with the keys in the ignition.

Based on their conversation, police suspected the accused was impaired.

He was arrested and later provided a breath sample into an approved device, registering a failed result.

Joseph MacLean is charged with impaired driving alcohol and drugs and blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 21, 2020.
