On April 21, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 22-year-old Tyler Corbett of March Street for impaired driving.
In the early morning hours of April 21, 2019 police responded to a call regarding a motor vehicle collision.
Upon arrival officers observed the accused behind the wheel of a car with damage to the front end as well as guardrails on Wellington Street East.
When officers spoke to the accused they noticed he was slurring his speech, had glassy eyes and there was a strong odour of alcohol on his breath. The accused was taken into custody and later registered a fail when providing a breath sample.
He is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of blood alcohol over 80. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 27, 2019.
