Two charged under Reopening Ontario Act

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have charged two people in connection to a gathering Saturday afternoon at Bellevue Park.

Police say that the two people, one from Springwater Township, Ont. and another from Perth, Ont., have been charged under the Reopening Ontario Act for organizing the gathering.

If convicted, the organizers will face a minimum fine of $10,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
