Two break and enters reported

On Aug. 23, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old male with regards to a break and enter.

It is alleged that at approximately 4:50 p.m. the accused attended a residence belonging to a person known to him in the 300 block of Farwell Terrace. The accused then forced a window open and entered the residence. 

Once inside, (it is alleged) the accused took some jewelry and clothing from the residence. The homeowner returned home and confronted the accused and he fled the scene.

Police located the accused a short time later and he was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of break and enter and commit theft. He will appear in court on Oct. 3, 2017.

On Aug. 23, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25-year-old Thomas Agawa of Wellington Street West with regards to a break and enter.

It is alleged that on Aug. 22, the accused attempted to break into the rear door of a residence in the 100 block of Bainbridge Street. The accused left the area without gaining entry and was later located by police.

He has been charged with one count of attempt break and enter and one count of breach of probation. He will appear in bail court today.
