Two accused of pawning stolen items

On March 12, 2019 officers with the Break and Enter unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 34-year-old Brian Gough and 51-year-old Darin Layden, both of Wellington Street East, for possession of stolen property.

It’s alleged on Feb. 27, 2019 the two accused pawned two items for approximately $120. Police later learned those items were stolen from a business in the 0-100 block of Pim Street on Feb. 27, 2019. They were located on March 12 and taken into custody.

Mr. Gough is charged with one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of probation. Mr. Layden is charged with one count of possession of stolen property. Both were released with a promise to appear in court.
