On October 25, 2016 city police arrested 34-year-old Joseph Germain Elie of Gran Street, Rankin Reserve.

On Oct. 25, 2016 city police arrested 34-year-old Joseph Germain Elie of Gran Street, Rankin Reserve. The Anishinabek Police Services and the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call in Garden River and came across Elie who was wanted by the SSMPS for a breach of probation. He was transported to city police and turned over. Elie has been charged with one count of Breach of Probation and will be attending court on Nov. 23, 2016.

On Oct. 24, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. city police arrested 44-year-old Gaston Gagnon of Wellington St. West. It’s alleged that he accused attended Rome’s Grocery store and stole merchandise valued at $22.54. He was apprehended by store security and turned over to police. He has been charged with theft under $5,000 and will be appearing in court on Nov. 28, 2016.
