HOUSE BURNS At 9:30 a.m. yesterday, police were called to a house fire in the 100 block of Beech Street. The fire was promptly extinguished by the fire department. There was extensive damage to the older home.

At 9:30 a.m. yesterday, police were called to a house fire in the 100 block of Beech Street. The fire was promptly extinguished by the fire department. There was extensive damage to the older home. The fire is believed to have been accidentally started while frozen water pipes were being thawed. There were no injuries

SECOND HOUSE FIRE
At 12:25 p.m. yesterday police were called to assist the fire department at another house fire. The call was to the 100 block of Pointe Louise Road. The fire was confined to the kitchen area and is believed to have been caused by a pot of oil on the stove. No injuries were reported. The fire department is still investigating.

MINOR INJURIES IN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
Yesterday at 5:00 p.m. police were called to an accident at the intersection of Wellington Street East and Trunk Road. Vicky Boisvert, age 42, was driving westbound on Wellington. She applied the brakes to stop as she approached Trunk Road but slid on some ice and entered the intersection jus
