On January 23, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 37-year-old female in relation to a domestic violence incident.

Theft

On Jan. 23, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43 year old Poppy Haynes of Sackville Road in relation to a theft from December of 2016.

On Dec. 8, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m. the accused attended a store on Queen Street East. It is alleged that while she was at the store she selected merchandise and left the store without paying.

Officers identified the accused from video footage and on Jan. 23, 2017 the accused attended the police station and was arrested. She has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on Feb. 27, 2017.

Woman charged with being unlawfully at large

On Jan. 23, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 45-year-old Annette Denis of Franklin Street for being unlawfully at large.

It is alleged that the accused failed to attend the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre for an intermittent sentence on Jan. 13, 2017. The accused attended the Police Services Building on Jan. 23 and was charged with one count of being unlawfully at large and 2 counts of breach of probation. She will appear in court on Feb. 27, 2017.

Woman arrested for domestic violence incident

On Jan. 23, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 37-year-old female in relation to a domestic violence incident. 

It is alleged that on Jan. 23, 2017 the accused engaged in an argument with her ex-boyfriend. During the argument the accused pushed the victim at his neck. The victim contacted police and the accused was arrested for one count of assault. She will appear in count on Mar. 1, 2017.
