On Jan. 8, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25-year-old Jake Desrosiers of Goulais Avenue for impaired driving.
Just before 1 a.m., officers observed the accused operating a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed on Whitney Avenue. Officers stopped the vehicle and found that the driver was operating the vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol.
The accused was taken into custody and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He will appear in court on Feb. 26, 2018.
