Domestic violence incident
On Nov. 15, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
It is alleged that on Oct. 31, 2017 the accused assaulted his girlfriend by pulling her off of a bed and striking her face on the ground. Further, on November 3rd, the accused assaulted the victim by grabbing her by the throat and choking her.
The victim contacted police and the accused was taken into custody. He has been charged with 2 counts of assault and was held for bail court.
