At 10:15 p.m. on January 27, 2016 city police arrested 18-year-old Austin Moar of South Market Street. It’s alleged that the accused attended at Walmart at the Station Mall and stole merchandise totaling $189.

On January 28, 2016 at 8:25 a.m., City Police attended at a restaurant in the west end of the city regarding a complaint of an internal theft. Nicolas Fronzi, 24 years, of St. James St. was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on January 18 and 24, 2016 the accused took money from the till and placed it in his jacket. Mr. Fronzi will be appearing in court on February 29, 2016.

On January 27, 2016 at 5 p.m. city police officers with the Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Emergency Services Unit and Patrol Services executed a drug search warrant at a residence on Lorna drive. As a result of the search marijuana production equipment valued at $3,000 along with 44 marijuana plants valued at $44,000 were seized. As a result of this investigation, 34-year-old Jamessa Taylor of Lorna drive and 27-year-old Taylor Reid of Lorna drive have been charged with production of a controlled substance (marijuana). Jamessa Taylor also faces a charge of breach of probation. Jemessa Taylor will be appearing in court on February 29, 2016 and Taylor Reid will be appearing on March 7, 2016.

At 6:30 p.m. on January 27, 2016 city police arrested 24-year-old Andrew Petts of Grace Street. Petts was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant alleging that he committed driving offences from November 19, 2015. Petts has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from peace officers and several Highway Traffic Act offences relating to that incident. He will be appearing in Bail Court on January 28, 2016 at 10 a.m.
