Three arrested after search of Parliament Street home

On May 30, 2018 officers with the Break and Enter Unit, Crime Suppression Unit and Emergency Service Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence in the 400 block of Parliament Street.

During the search, officers located a 22-caliber rifle, two cans of bear mace and a cross bow. At the time officers arrested 32-year-old Christopher Robinson of Heyden, Ont. and 40-year-old Angie Shears of Maretta Street. Later, on May 31, 2018 officers located and arrested 41-year-old Marc Jardine of Van Daele Street.

All three accused of have been charged with:

  • One count of careless storage of a firearm,
  • One count of unauthorized possession of a firearm,
  • One count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized; and,
  • One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Mr. Robinson has additionally been charged with one count of failing to attend court, one count of breach of probation and six counts of possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order. Mr. Robinson and Mr. Jardine were held for bail court and Ms. Shears will appear in court on July 9, 2018.
