On Jan. 4, 2018, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 39-year-old Allen Waboose of Biidaaban Avenue for theft.
It is alleged that just before 11 a.m., the accused attended a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street where he selected $650 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying.
When the accused was apprehended by store security, he resisted by grabbing and pushing the store security officer before attempting to run from the area. He was eventually taken into custody and police were contacted.
The accused has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of resisting arrest. He will appear in court on Feb. 12, 2018.
